Born May 5, 1991, Adamie Mathewsie learned how to carve from watching his accomplished father, Padlaya Qiatsuq. Adamie shows considerable promise for a young artist. He prefers to carve animals – Bears and Owls primarily. Adamie works mostly in marble, but has done some serpentine sculptures as well.
