Born in Iqaluit, Nunavut on March 4, 2003, Ashley Qavavau’s parents are Peter Ottokie and Candice Qavavau along with one brother.

She began her artistic endeavours through drawing as recently as April 2023 and prefers everyday utilitarian items as subjects – Amuati, Ulu and more.

Ashley’s famous great grandmother was Sheojuk Etidloie and her great grandfather was acclaimed artist Pudlo Pudlat

Ashley has been inspired to draw by her father, Peter.
