Haida Nation

Eugene Davidson is a well-known traditional carver from the Haida nation, located along the northern coast of British Columbia.

He specializes in masks, totem poles, and jewelry in silver or bone.  Eugene has a deep understanding of his family stories and legends, and so he depicts these motifs in his beautiful carvings.

Eugene honours his family traditions by creating innovative works that speak to his cultural history and practices.  He is a traditional dancer for of the Tluu Xaada Naay Society.

Eugene is one of many Northwest Coast native artists preserving the heritage of his people for future generations through his artwork.
