Lucassie Ikkidluak was born on February 2, 1949 and resides in Kimmirut. He has been carving since 1967. He learned by watching others carve and wanted to earn extra money. He thinks that carving is hard work, but sees an improvement in his work over the years. His brothers Joannie and Iola, as well as his sister Oloota are also artists.
