Napatchie Sharky

Inuit Native Artist Napatchie Sharky from Cape Dorset

Cape Dorset

Napachie Sharky was born September 29, 1971. His mother, the carver Ragee Kiliktee, was the daughter of master carver Kuppapik Raggee. It was his stepfather, the renowned sculptor Shorty Kiliktee, who inspired both Napachie and his brother Toonoo to start carving. Despite these many familial influences, Napachie has evolved his own style — open and delicate, ideally suited to the carefully executed, realistic birds for which he is best known.

Napatchie currently resides in Cape Dorset and has lived in Lake Harbour.
