Corrine Hunt: Solo Exhibition 2015

Opened Saturday, December 5, 2015 through to January 16, 2016

Olaka Iku Da Nala “It’s a Good Day”

As Coastal Peoples Gallery embarks on exciting new endeavours that shape our future, it is fitting to celebrate an artist who is representative of modern First Nations art today.

Given Corrine Hunt’s dual background as Kwakwaka’waka and Tlingit, she captures concepts that intertwine a profoundly personal design ethic with a deep connection to her family’s lineage.  Her versatility as an artist and progressive thinker is influenced by her recognition and understanding of cultural globalization as she elevates her artform to an entirely new level.

With great pleasure, we are honoured to present Corrine Hunt’s solo exhibition where mixed media unites in a harmonious confluence of the historic and contemporary.

To view more of her work in our gallery’s jewelry collection – please visit our home page and search Corrine Hunt by artist’s name.

Some exhibition artworks only available in-gallery as of the opening day – please contact us for complete details…
