Description | Ulukhaktok Buddy Alikamik was born April 4, 1969. He grew up and still currently resides in Ulukhaktok, formerly Holman. Buddy’s talents include working in print making and carving media. His preferred carving material is Muskox horn, which he carefully shapes. He is best known for his depiction of the crane, craved with beauty and grace. The Ulukhaktok region is known for its abundance of muskoxen. Like many of the residence in this area, Buddy also enjoys hunting and fishing. Exhibition information is available upon request. |
