Reclaimed Yellow Cedar wood, Acrylic paint
In this sculpture, Corrine explores the famous “Super Hero Pose” with a coastal Indigenous twist. The pose is achieved when one stands tall with their feet apart, chin up, and hands on their hips with elbows bent. It is a high-power pose which exudes confidence and, when held for an extended period of time, raises one’s testosterone while simultaneously lowing their cortisol. It is one of Corrine’s favourite poses, hence her decision to create a piece that honours it.
